Bengals get bad news on D’Ante Smith

The Cincinnati Bengals appear to have lost offensive lineman D’Ante Smith for the 2024 season.

According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, Smith suffered what’s believed to be a patellar tendon injury.

The injury happened in Thursday’s rain-filled joint practice with the Chicago Bears. Smith had to be carted out of practice while wearing an air cast on the injured leg, then was later seen walking on crutches.

It was the same practice in which backup running back Chris Evans suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon.

Initial belief is #Bengals OT D'Ante Smith will miss the 2024 season with a patellar tendon injury, per source.
