Cornerback Andrew Booth arrived at his first high school football practice at 5-foot-5 and under 150 pounds. In only seven years, Booth has grown into one of the top cornerbacks in the 2022 NFL Draft class, and he’s a likely first-round selection for the Cincinnati Bengals this year.
While he grew into a cornerback prospect with a pro-ready frame, Booth never lost the chip on his shoulder that he needed when he was undersized. At one scouting camp in high school, he had a 320-pound offensive lineman try to block him on a screen. Booth forced the lineman to the ground and tackled the wide receiver in just a few steps.
