The Cincinnati Bengals are expecting to be without their star nose tackle DJ Reader for an extended period of time, a source tells The Enquirer.
After suffering a knee injury against the New York Jets, Reader was unable to return to the game and watched the second half from the locker room. Head coach Zac Taylor said on Monday the team was awaiting more information before making any statements about his availability.
Reader is expected to miss an extended period of time but it is not expected to be a season-ending injury.
