The Cincinnati Bengals have elevated cornerback Sidney Jones IV and wide receiver Stanley Morgan from the practice squad to the active roster for the team’s Week 18 game against the Cleveland Browns, the team announced Saturday.
Jones and Morgan are both classified as standard elevations. As practice squad players who are being elevated to the active roster for the game, they automatically will revert to the practice squad on Monday.
Both elevations come with injured players at those positions heading into the final game of the Bengals’ 2023 season.
At wide receiver, Tee Higgins is currently listed as doubtful to play Sunday due to a hamstring injury, so this move is another indicator he’s unlikely to play.
