Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Renell Wren could be out for a while.
The second-year pro has a significant quadriceps injury, NFL Network reported. The Enquirer later confirmed the news.
Wren went down hard during Monday's practice. He was on the field for a few minutes as teammates gathered around him before getting carted off the field. The defensive tackle was visibly upset as he was carted away.
The 2019 fourth round pick is seeking a second opinion, but the fear is that he is out for the season.
Wren totaled eight tackles in 11 games (two starts) as a rookie.
