For Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Trae Waynes, it appears his streak of bad luck with injuries will continue to plague his career. Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo said Waynes suffered a hamstring injury on the final play against the Packers.
Waynes' injury news is significant because the 29-year-old has only played in two games for the Bengals since signing a three-year deal worth $42 million in March of 2020. In his two starts for Cincinnati, Waynes has recorded five tackles.
Anarumo was unable to say if he's expecting to be without Waynes on Sunday when the Bengals travel to Detroit to take on the Lions but did hint he could benefit from the chance to get fully healthy.
