Bengals cornerback Adam Jones named team captain for first time

The Cincinnati Bengals named cornerback Adam Jones one of their six captains this year, according to the team website.

Jones has been around the Bengals' locker room since 2010, and in the NFL since 2005, but it was his first time being named a captain since his high school playing days.

That's a big honor for Jones, 32, who found trouble early and often after the Titans took him sixth overall in the 2005 draft. Jones was suspended all of the 2007 season and part of the 2008 season for his off-the-field behavior and eventually ended up in the CFL before reviving his career with the Bengals.
