CINCINNATI -- The retention of defensive players has been the central theme to the Cincinnati Bengals' free-agency efforts this offseason.
That remained the case Wednesday morning when the team announced it had re-signed defensive tackle Pat Sims. Terms of Sims' new deal weren't immediately made available.
It's the fourth time Sims has signed with the Bengals. After Cincinnati drafted him in the third round of the 2008 draft, he was under contract for four seasons. He has been on a series of one-year deals since, including two previous one-year contracts with the Bengals and two with the Raiders in 2013 and 2014.
