Andy Dalton emerged on Friday and spoke for the first time about his season that came to an end during Sunday’s loss to the Browns.

Dalton confirmed he tore a ligament in his thumb against the Browns and had surgery on Tuesday. He expects a full recovery by the start of the offseason program next year.

Now he begins the job of helping Jeff Driskel out as much as he can, while those outside the organization start speculating about the quarterback’s future.
