Assessing the value Cincinnati got in Jermaine Burton

With Tee Higgins likely departing in 2025, the Cincinnati Bengals may have found his replacement in Jermaine Burton.

Selected 80th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, Burton was one of the most explosive pass-catchers in college football last season, catching 39 balls for 798 yards and eight touchdowns. He led the SEC in yards per reception (20.5) and ranked fifth nationally.

A talent like Burton wouldn’t normally fall to Round 3, but he has character concerns that made him a tough prospect to rank heading into the draft.

  • ESPN had Burton ranked 150th overall.
