'Fast Fridays' no more: How schedule change has Bengals healthy, winning

CINCINNATI -- A couple hours before their preseason finale against the Colts, the Cincinnati Bengals' offensive and defensive starters took to Lucas Oil Stadium's field wearing workout T-shirts, shorts and sweatpants.

When they did, they lined up and at full speed ran a quick series of non-contact plays. Players were moving at such a fast pace that from way up in the stadium's press box, it was easy to see without binoculars that many of their shirts were drenched with sweat. With none of them scheduled to participate in the game, it was the coaches' and trainers' way of giving the starters one final -- albeit brief -- strenuous workout before the regular season officially began.
