Andy Dalton ruled out by Dallas Cowboys for Sunday's game vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys ruled out quarterback Andy Dalton on Saturday for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, as the long-time Cincinnati Bengals starter remains in the National Football League's concussion protocol after sustaining a vicious hit Sunday from Washington's Football Team's Jon Bostic.

The Cowboys are expected to start Ben DiNucci - who relieved Dalton when he left Sunday's game - at quarterback.

Bostic was ejected from the game after the hit, but reports earlier in the week indicated that Bostic wouldn't be suspended.

ESPN's Greg McElroy suggested on Get Up earlier this week that if Bostic had hit Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Patrick Mahomes instead of Dalton, the media would have called for "the Vontaze Burfict treatment" for the Washington linebacker.
