On the most basic level, AJ McCarron just wants to play.
He appeared in three games for the Cincinnati Bengals last year and threw 14 passes in two blowout losses against Chicago in Minnesota.
He last started and played a full game on Jan. 9, 2016, in the AFC Wild Card game.
“I would love to have my chance,” he said at the end of this season.
