The Cincinnati Bengals officially welcomed Al Golden back to the Queen City on Monday, where he held his first official press conference as the team’s defensive coordinator. He did so alongside head coach Zac Taylor, who hired Golden as the team’s linebackers coach in 2020, a role he kept for two seasons before becoming the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame.
Leaving the Fighting Irish was tough, but as Golden said, “There’s only 32 of these (DC jobs) and even less with Joe Burrow.”
