As a guest on The Enquirer's Beyond The Stripes on Dec. 20, Bengals defensive back Adam Jones, arrested after a Jan. 3 incident at the Millennium Hotel, was asked why he signed a three-year deal during the previous offseason to remain with the Bengals.
Bengals beat writers Jim Owczarski and Paul Dehner Jr. on Jones' response, and loyalty to owner Mike Brown and head coach Marvin Lewis:
“It was never a doubt in my mind of leaving here," Jones said. "I just feel Mr. Brown and coach Lewis have done so much for me and my family, through the ups and downs, the thicks and thins, the run-ins, the everything, they’ve always been in my corner.
