A monster projection for Ja’Marr Chase’s impending contract extension

The Cincinnati Bengals are entering a major offseason for the future of the franchise. A big part of that is Ja’Marr Chase, who is past due for his first contract extension since being drafted by Cincinnati in 2021.

After failing to get Chase extended prior to the 2024 season, the Bengals will likely have to pay him even more following his Triple Crown season.

So, what could that deal look like?

At the very least, it will top Justin Jefferson’s deal as the current highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. That was a four-year, $140 million extension he got on the final year of his rookie contract in June of 2024.
