4th-round draft pick Renell Wren knows he has “a lot to prove”

Just after the end of the 2018 NFL season, Pro Football Focus ranked the Cincinnati Bengals defensive line 25th in the NFL. At that point and for months leading up to it, everyone, management included, knew it needed improvement.

While more pressing concerns caused the defensive line shortcomings to take a backseat, they certainly were far from forgotten.

That’s why the team then went out and drafted Renell Wren in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, hoping to secure some help for stud lineman Geno Atkins.
