CINCINNATI -- Recent history isn't on AJ McCarron's side.
Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterbacks like him haven't had a very good track record the past 25 years as it pertains to winning games as starting NFL quarterbacks.
According to STATS LLC, the NFL's small list of past Crimson Tide signal-callers who have played within the past 25 years are on a 12-game losing streak. McCarron, the Cincinnati Bengals backup who will be replacing injured starter Andy Dalton in San Francisco this week, has a chance to finally give past Alabama quarterbacks a win when he makes his first career start.
