Jones, who has had issues with staying out of trouble in the past, found himself in hot water again this offseason. He was charged with harrassment with a bodily substance in January after spitting on a jail nurse. That's a felony, but it was later dropped. As were misdemeanor charges of assault, disorderly conduct. Jones allegedly pushed a security guard and poked him in the eye.
Jones did, however, plead guilty to a charge of obstruction of official business stemming from that incident. Here's what the NFL told Jones in a letter.
"Extensive video documentation of the tone, tenor and nature of your interactions with law enforcement at the site of your arrest, during transportation to the jail, and during the booking process. As you acknowledged, your post-arrest words and actions reflected poorly on you and your family, the Cincinnati Bengals football club, and the NFL. While it is our understanding that appropriate apologies have been publicly extended, they do not completely negate your behavior and admission of culpability for the underlying conduct."
Because the suspension is without pay, Jones will miss out on $425K. This is Jones' seventh arrest since entering the NFL in 2005 and third off-field incident with the Bengals. Since signing with Cincinnati in 2010, Jones has not been suspended until now.

The Bengals open the season up against the Ravens and they'll count on two former first rounders to help replace Jones that week: Darqueze Dennard and William Jackson III. Dennard has struggled to find consistent play and playing time, while Jackson was hurt last year
