Injured in Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, two Cincinnati Bengals sat out the team's Monday practice as the Bengals prepare on a short week for Thursday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns.
Per Mike Wilkening of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "cornerback Leon Hall (concussion) and right tackle Andre Smith (ankle) were among four starters not practicing Monday, according to the injury report. Hall will have to be cleared via the NFL’s concussion protocol to return to action."
In addition, running back Giovani Bernard (hip/clavicle) and middle linebacker Rey Maualuga (hamstring) both sat out as well. They were both among the team's inactives for Sunday's win.
Also, according to Wilkening, "three Bengals were limited Monday: cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hamstring), defensive end Robert Geathers (shoulder) and cornerback Terence Newman (chest). However, right guard Kevin Zeitler (calf) practiced fully after sitting out Sunday’s game."
Finally, the Bengals have already ruled out weak-side linebacker Vontage Burfict (knee) for Thursday's battle of Ohio against the Browns.
