TAMPA, Fla. -- Courtney Williams had 28 points and 15 rebounds on Wednesday night and reached 2,000 career points to help No. 19 South Florida beat Cincinnati 82-49.
Williams entered the game 28 points short of the milestone and got it on her last basket, a 3-pointer that made it 72-40 with 4:55 left.
The Bulls (16-5, 9-2 American) never trailed and led by 11 in the first quarter. The Bearcats (7-14, 3-7) cut within four early in the third, but South Florida closed the quarter with a 26-9 run to lead 57-36 and extended to 80-41 in the fourth.
