When the Cincinnati Bearcats hired John Brannen in 2019, the Bearcats front court looked much different.
Brannen inherited one forward, Trevon Scott, who had already proven he was one of the best big men in the American Athletic Conference. Aside from Scott, the Bearcats returned only two other big men, neither of whom had much college basketball experience. The cupboard was nearly barren.
One year later, Brannen might have the best starting front court in the AAC. With Rapolas Ivanauskas and Chris Vogt, UC is the only team in the conference with a power forward and a center who were both double digit scorers last season.
