Desmond Ridder stood at the 30-yard line with his hands on his hips staring up at the scoreboard.
The Cincinnati Bearcats junior quarterback had just thrown his second interception in the first half of Saturday’s game against South Florida. As the highlight played back on the big screen, Ridder watched himself step up in the pocket and throw a confident 13-yard pass to the left corner of the end-zone. And he watched USF defensive back Christopher Townsel jump in front of Bearcats wide receiver Jayshon Jackson to reel in the interception.
The highlight ended, and Ridder walked over to the bench.
