HUNTINGTON, West Virginia – A father and son wearing Marshall gear winded their way down flights of stairs at Joan C. Edwards Stadium Saturday after Cincinnati football dismantled the Thundering Herd 52-14.
"They played well, but I don't think they beat a team worth much," said the dad.
"I hate Cincinnati now," the son replied.
A thumping like that will leave a lasting impression.
Surely, you've already heard and read plenty about Desmond Ridder's brilliant four-touchdown performance, but here's my favorite stat about the redshirt sophomore quarterback's breakout: 13 of his 22 pass attempts resulted in either a touchdown or first down.
