Big win for Bearcats at UCLA/ Tom Groeschen
This was big.
The No. 25-ranked University of Cincinnati basketball team went into UCLA's storied Pauley Pavilion and beat the Bruins 77-63 on Saturday, easily the Bearcats' most important win this season.
After blowing through mostly light opposition in November, the Bearcats (9-2) had been just 1-2 in December before the UCLA game. Two of the losses were to nationally ranked teams Xavier and Florida, before UC rebounded with what had been its most quality win of the year, 65-50 over Mississippi State last Tuesday.
