WALNUT HILLS - Not far from Victory Parkway, the Walnut Hills High School football team is hoping to have more victories than defeats for the first time since 2011. Last season Coach Gerry Beauchamp's Eagles went 5-5 for their first non-losing season since 2012 went they also finished 5-5.
This year's squad is racking up a number of Division I offers. That talent should come in handy with the likes of Winton Woods, Little Miami and Lebanon joining the Eastern Cincinnati Conference's usual contenders.
"Obviously Winton Woods has a lot of guys and a lot good players with offers but having an offensive line like we do, it starts up front for us," Beauchamp said.
