WATCH UC's Mick Cronin: Cumberland on Naismith list but not in NBA mock drafts
With the University of Cincinnati riding the consistent scoring hand of junior guard Jarron Cumberland, it's tough not to speculate on him leaving for the pro ranks. Last year, Jacob Evans III left after his junior year and in the past 25 years Dontonio Wingfield, Danny Fortson, DerMarr Johnson, Kenny Satterfield and Lance Stephenson have left early.
Cumberland's college numbers this season are as good as anyone's at 19 points per game, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists from his shooting guard position. He's been honored by the American Athletic Conference seven times and has been named Player of the Week four times.
