UC's Mick Cronin, Keith Williams talk Wichita State Cincinnati Enquirer
The Wichita State Shockers basketball team were struggling in the American Athletic Conference basketball race, before knocking off Central Florida Wednesday night, 75-67, handing the Knights their first conference loss. That now puts the University of Cincinnati Bearcats in a tie for the AAC lead heading into the weekend with Houston and Temple at 4-1. UCF and Memphis are at 3-1.
The UCF victory was Wichita State's first in conference play, but you could argue their opponents have been tougher. The Shockers have thus far had Memphis on the road, an overtime loss at home to Temple, Houston on the road and the UCF win in front of a near-sellout crowd of 10,211.
