University of Cincinnati-University of Central Florida football game: Bearcats fall again to conference foe

It was Florida weather in Cincinnati on Saturday night. And, the visiting Florida collegiate football team apparently felt right at home in routing the locals.

The University of Cincinnati was treated to a blinding display of Central Florida speed, as No. 25-ranked UCF crushed the reeling Bearcats 51-23 at Nippert Stadium. It might have been worse, had bad weather not ended the game prematurely.

With four seconds left in the third quarter, cracks of lightning forced suspension of play. Heavy rain soon followed. After a 1-hour, 7-minute delay and no let-up in sight, the American Athletic Conference ruled the game officially over.
