The University of Cincinnati named Ryan Hays as acting athletics director Thursday following Mike's Bohn's departure to Southern Cal.
Hays was appointed UC executive vice president in 2012 and also served as the president’s chief of staff.
“With Dr. Hays at the helm, my office will have direct oversight of athletics during this transition," said university president Neville Pinto in a statement. "He has my full confidence in providing the leadership and stability necessary to sustain our tremendous momentum both on and off the field.
