TULSA, – Coming off of what may be one their worst losses ever to East Carolina, the University of Cincinnati came back late in the game and forced overtime against Tulsa. In the extra period, the Bearcats willed their way to victory behind Jarron Cumberland whose drives and dishes led them to the 70-65 triumph.
Cane Broome led UC with 16 points, nearly all of them coming late in the game. Broome’s off-balance jumper tied the game in regulation. Cumberland had 14 tough points, Keith Williams had 14 and Trevon Scott 12.
UC won despite being outshot from 3-point range 60.
