CORVALLIS, Ore. — AJ Bumpass will never forget his first NCAA baseball tournament game.

Bumpass went 5 for 5, including a go-ahead triple in the ninth inning, as Cincinnati rallied to defeat defending national champion Oregon State on Friday for its first NCAA tournament win in 48 years.

The Bearcats trailed 6-5 after surrendering a 5-2 lead in the seventh. During the Beavers’ four-run rally in the seventh, Oregon State star catcher Adley Rutschman was walked intentionally with the bases loaded.
