NEWARK, N.J. - Most NCAA championship basketball teams have at least one potential NBA lottery pick on their roster. The No. 17-ranked University of Cincinnati has designs on getting to that level, but it remains to be seen whether the Bearcats have that go-to player.
With No. 17 UC and No. 5 Florida meeting here Saturday night in the Never Forget Tribute Classic, Bearcats coach Mick Cronin said this week that UC might not feature that one leading man. Rather, senior forward Gary Clark (13.8 points per game), junior wing Jacob Evans III (13.1) and sophomore shooting guard Jarron Cumberland (11.
