Cincinnati Bearcats defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman is grateful to have Coby Bryant.
The senior cornerback has developed into one of the most reliable and respected players for the undefeated 11th-ranked (AP/Coaches) Bearcats.
Bryant is also one of the undeniable leaders of Freeman's defense, a unit that leads the American Athletic Conference in scoring defense and total defense, forcing eight turnovers through the first three games.
"The best way to describe him is elite competitor," Freeman said. "It can be a fault sometimes because he hates to lose and be wrong sometimes. That's a great problem to have.
