The number 4 seeded Bearcats fell by a 14-10 mark today to the number 5 seeded University of Central Florida Knights.
Things started out well enough. After falling behind 4-2 in the second inning, Cincinnati battled their way back. A 5-run fourth inning gave Cincinnati a 7-4 lead. The Bearcats took an 8-4 into the 8th inning but then things fell apart. Cincinnati surrendered an almost unbelievable 9 runs in the inning, which proved to be the death knell for the Bearcats.
