KENWOOD - After a recent performance at an Ohio Department of Health-approved open competition, Moeller junior Evan Mahaffey has been offered by the University of Cincinnati's John Brannen.
Mahaffey, a 6-foot-6 guard, came off the bench in the early portion of last season for the Crusaders before having to sit the second half of the season due to OHSAA transfer rules. As a freshman, he played at Northwest averaging 6.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and a pair of assists per game.
Mahaffey's father, Jamie, played at Miami University and previously was a state championship coach at North College Hill when the Trojans had future NBA players O.
