UC: It would be terrible if we lost to USF

After an exhilarating 86-78 win over archrival Xavier on Thursday, the Cincinnati Bearcats return to action Sunday against a struggling South Florida basketball team.

The No. 19-ranked Bearcats (18-2, 7-0 American Athletic Conference) will be heavily favored to beat USF (6-13, 0-8 AAC), in a matchup of the top and bottom teams in the 11-team AAC standings. UC has won 11 consecutive games, while USF has lost eight straight.

“We have to definitely take away the positives from the Xavier game, but we have to keep moving forward,” UC junior forward Kyle Washington said Saturday.
