CORRYVILLE - Billed as the "Grand Opening" of Fifth Third Arena, the University of Cincinnati entertains UCLA Wednesday night. Though the teams have played five previous times, it's the first time the Bearcats have hosted the Bruins.
The Bearcats came in leading the series 3-2, having won in the NCAA semifinals in 1962, a road game in 1965 vs. the late John Wooden's crew and last year at Pauley Pavilion 77-63. UCLA defeated the Bearcats 105-101 in double overtime in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2002 and again in the 2017 NCAA tournament when Lonzo Ball was on the squad.
