Former University of Cincinnati standout quarterback Gino Guidugli is rejoining the Bearcats football staff as running backs coach, a UC source confirmed Saturday.
The 33-year-old Guidugli recently was promoted to offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Central Michigan University, having been on that staff since 2010. Guidugli spent time at CMU as a graduate assistant, running backs coach and recruiting coordinator.
Guidugli played at UC from 2001-04 and owns many of the school's passing records, including yardage (11,453), touchdown passes (78) and passing yards in a season (3,543 in 2002). Guidugli also was a record-setting quarterback at Highlands High School, Kentucky.
