On a picture-perfect Chamber of Commerce afternoon, University of Cincinnati head football coach Scott Satterfield put his soon-to-be Big 12 Bearcats on display in the annual spring game Saturday. It had been 131 days since Satterfield emerged as athletic director John Cunningham's target; a well-kept secret lurking a little over 100 miles away in Louisville.
Now in Bearcat red and black and sporting his signature visor, Satterfield led the Bearcats through eight practice periods before the scrimmage periods began. Because of numbers and the threat of injuries, this year's spring game featured situational scrimmages.
"Our guys have put a lot of great work in here since January, coming back and basically finished up this semester with a really good scrimmage out here today," Satterfield said.
