STORRS, Conn. – Mick Cronin is not fooled by the won-lost record of Connecticut. The University of Cincinnati coach has been in enough games against UConn to know what his basketball team will face here Sunday.
No. 18-ranked UC (26-4, 15-2 American Athletic Conference) will visit UConn (14-15, 9-8 AAC) Gampel Pavilion on Sunday at noon (CBS). It will be the final regular season game for both teams.
“UConn is still UConn, which means they play with great pride and toughness,” Cronin said. “It’s also Senior Day, which will add fuel to their fire as well.”
This was supposed to be a major game with national interest, with UC voted No.
