It was a sign of things to come for the Cincinnati Bearcats when junior guard Mika Adams-Woods opened Thursday's game against the Southern Methodist Mustangs with back-to-back 3-point baskets.
UC shot 47 percent in the first half against SMU, and stretched an already commanding lead to 25 points by the 14:47 mark of the second half. Ultimately, the onslaught kept SMU from leading in the 77-60 win for UC at Fifth Third Arena.
Adams-Woods finished the night 17 points and drilled a 3-ball to extend the lead to 25. Senior guard David DeJulius went for a game-high 22 points.
