But head coach Luke Fickell said there's still plenty to work on as the 11th-ranked (AP/Coaches) Bearcats enjoy a bye before hitting the road to face Tulsa on Oct. 17 (noon on ESPN2).
"I think there's a lot of things that we can kind of look at to find a way to take us to the next level going into a bye week," said Fickell after Saturday's 28-7 American Athletic Conference-opening win over South Florida. "That hunger and little bit of anger inside knows darn well we didn't play quite up to the expectations that we would like to play.
