Cincinnati Bearcats coach Luke Fickell evaluates Saturday's scrimmage at Paul Brown Stadium
The University of Cincinnati football program has secured an oral commitment from Colerain High School recruit Eric Phillips, a two-way player who will play defense for the Bearcats.
Phillips will be a senior at Colerain this season and will join UC in 2019. Phillips has played tight end and outside linebacker at Colerain, but UC probably will use him at defensive end.
The 6-foot-4 Phillips is listed anywhere from 210 to 250 pounds on various recruiting websites, but Colerain coach Tom Bolden said Friday that Phillips is up to 270 pounds.
