The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team never really found a foothold against the Georgia Bulldogs.
UC turned the ball over 17 times in the first half, allowed 49 points in the opening 20 minutes and trailed by 23 points by halftime.
While UC shot out of the gates to start the second half and cut its deficit to 12 points, too much damage had already been done.
The sum total of the Bearcats' missteps was an 81-61 loss to Georgia (6-0) on Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia.
The loss dropped UC to 2-4 on the season ahead of a Tuesday trip to play Central Florida in American Athletic Conference action.
