CLIFTON — The University of Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team knew it was a matter of when, not if.
A 22-5 victory over UConn Sunday night gave UC the American Athletic Conference championship and a guaranteed spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Bearcats gathered Monday afternoon at Fifth Third Arena for the NCAA Tournament selection show, knowing they would hear their school announced for a tournament bid for the first time since 1974.
