Some fans would prefer that the University of Cincinnati blow out teams such as South Florida. The Bearcats already did that once this year, but Wednesday’s 68-54 win at USF was just as satisfying in many ways.
No. 18-ranked UC (23-3, 12-1 American Athletic Conference) was never in serious trouble against conference last-place team USF (7-18, 1-13 AAC). The Bearcats were a bit sluggish in taking a 30-22 halftime lead but eventually led by as much as 24 points. USF made it closer in garbage time, but the victory was secured early in the second half.
