A pair of University of Cincinnati baseball assistants have been dismissed for potential NCAA infractions. Prior to UC's involvement in the American Athletic Conference tournament in Clearwater, assistant coach Kyle Sprague and director of operations Andy Nagel were relieved of their duties May 17.

According to a UC release Wednesday, an internal review started May 8 of potential NCAA infractions involving the baseball program. The review is ongoing but Sprague and Nagel were let go based on initial findings.

A UC source confirms these infractions do not involve betting on Bearcat baseball games. The University is not commenting further as it is an ongoing investigation.
