It’s no secret that one of the biggest issues with last year’s UC Bearcats football team was quarterback play – specifically turnovers. Reducing them must be priority number one if the Bearcats are to content for an AAC title in 2016. How that can be done is one of the biggest question marks facing UC head coach Tommy Tuberville as his fourth season in command of Bearcats football begins on Wednesday, August 3rd with the opening of camp.
But who would be the guy to do it did not seem to be a question at all. After spring practices, Tuberville said that the QB job was “wide open,” a three horse race between senior Gunner Kiel, sophomore Hayden Moore, and redshirt freshman Ross Trail.
