Former Cincinnati Bearcats standout guard Troy Caupain is keeping his foot on the gas in the NBA Summer League, with every intention of proving to the Orlando Magic that they were wise to offer him a two-way contract.
In Thursday's 75-70 loss to the Utah Jazz, Caupain scored a team-high 14 points and added eight rebounds and a game-high five assists in 28 minutes.
It was an impressive bounceback effort for Caupain, who scored just 6 on 3-of-11 shooting in Monday's 71-53 loss to Phoenix.
The Magic announced Wednesday that they signed Caupain to a two-way contract, allowing him to spend up to 45 days during the 2018-19 season on the Magic's active or inactive roster.
